Our history
The Secrets of Dame Gertrude sisterhood, created in Nivelles in 2009, defends everything that is directly or indirectly linked to the life of women. The profits generated by their activities support charitable projects.
They are bringing back the spotlight on the “Canestia” recipe, formerly a Nivelles candy, and promoting “Gertrude” beer. Both folkloric and cultural activities are imagined and carried out. This is how a game, “Nivell’Oie”, was created, allowing you to rediscover Nivelles while having fun.
